Both! Evangelatos earrings are crafted in either solid 18k gold, sterling silver, or a combination of sterling silver with solid 18k gold parts. Each listing will be clearly marked with the metal type. These are all fine jewelry choices for customers who want high quality metals in unique designs.

How do I know if earrings are too heavy for me?
In general here are some weight tips:
If earrings pull on the earlobe, feel uncomfortable after a short time, or make the piercing stretch downward, they may be too heavy for regular wear. That said, long earrings do not always have to be heavy.
Not sure if an earring will feel heavy?
Think of it this way: 1 gram is about a paper clip, 3–4 grams is about a sugar packet, and 5 grams is about a US nickel. Lightweight earrings are usually under 3 grams each, everyday comfortable earrings often sit around 3–6 grams, and larger statement earrings may be 8 grams or more. Design makes a big difference, too — a well-balanced earring can feel easier to wear than the number alone suggests.
