Cultural Note
The meander, or “The Greek key”, has been named after the river described in Iliad by Homer. It is a symbol of the bonds of friendship and love while also symbolizing infinity and the eternal flow of things. The wave, or "Argonaut", possesses a double nature: On one hand it symbolizes an unstoppable force which sweeps everything in its path without discrimination— while on the other hand it is a rhythmic movement representing serenity, tranquility and peace.
