Zircon is an important gemstone of many colors, and is an historical gemstone used for thousands of years.

If you love diamonds, but not the associated cost, white (clear) zircons are an excellent alternative to diamonds.

In the Middle Ages, this gem was thought to induce sound sleep, drive away evil spirits, and promote riches, honor, and wisdom.

Zircon is not the same as cubic zirconia.

Natural zircon is rare and more expensive than cubic zirconia (CZ). The most important difference to understand is that Zircon is a naturally occurring mineral, and CZ (even though it has been found in nature before) is a lab-created gemstone and is, therefore, not natural and not considered a mineral.
